Auction volumes increased by an estimated 25% on Saturday when compared with last weekend, accompanied by a rise of 4% in clearance rates to a whopping 79%.

This coming weekend will mark the first auctions of the spring season, with auction listings expected to exceed an average of 1000 properties per week in September.

However, just a week on and the market has witnessed a trade-off between clearance rates and auction volumes – an 18% increase in auction numbers seeing clearance rates drop four percent to 75% at the weekend.
