The month of March has opened with gusto as Melbourne gave host to more than 1000 auctions at the weekend. In fact, according to preliminary auction results provided by REIV 1041 properties went under the hammer (or sold prior) at the weekend, 74% or 775 of these selling.

Melbourne experienced another standout week in residential property, smashing clearance rates out of the park. According to preliminary auction results provided by REIV there were a reported 1083 residential properties auctioned at the weekend, 78% or 843 of these selling.

Market slowly gaining momentum. Vendor hesitancy working to buyers' advantage. 

According to auction results reported by Domain there were 648 properties listed for auction in Sydney at the weekend. Of the 459 results reported a 77% clearance rate was achieved for the second week running.

Melbourne property smashing expectations amid highly anticipated market open.

The Melbourne property market is off and running for another year, and true to recent form it’s off to a flying start. According to preliminary auction results provided by REIV there were a reported 852 residential properties auctioned at the weekend, 77% or 656 of these selling.
